If you are selling your food on WooCommerce, you probably want to know which of your food categories are the best sellers and which food categories don’t sell as well.
Today I am going to show you how to access your WooCommerce report that will show you sales by food category.
Set Up Your Categories
Before you can get the correct reports of how much revenue you gain from each food category, you have to make sure that your food categories are set up correctly.
To make sure you do have this set up correctly, go to Products > Categories and you can make sure each category has the correct products in it.
Once you verify that your menu items aka Products are in the correct category, it is time to pull the report that you need!
In case you don’t have the correct menu items, go ahead and change the categories now so that your future reports will have the correct metrics!
Pull A Product Category Report
To pull a sales report by category, you can click on Analytics > Categories.
Then you can choose your date range and choose which category you want to pull the report for. The above example shows that I am pulling a report for drinks.
The graph will automatically refresh when you update the date range field or the category fields.
