If you are a restaurant that has decided to minimize costs by creating your own online ordering site with WooCommerce
If you want to sync your WooCommerce online ordering website with your restaurant’s operating hours, here’s what you need to do:
First, you want to let people know what your hours are.
Less is more, so you want to let them know in an easy-to-find location without creating another page.
The best place to put your hours is on the page where customers can add menu items to their order.
With Elementor:
Go to your Menu page.
Click on Edit with Elementor.
Your Elementor Builder will show. Go ahead and pick an area where you want to put your hours of operation. I decided to put it in between my ‘Order for Pickup’ and ‘Order for Delivery’ notices.
To do that, I right clicked on the columns and clicked on add column.
In that middle column, I typed in my hours of operation.
Go ahead and save your changes.
Next, you want to make sure that this looks good on mobile. Switch to mobile view.
If you like the way this looks in mobile view, then you can skip again.
If you want to change the positioning, you can move the column above or below.
Selecting Pickup Time
You also only want your customers to be able to select a time within your operating hours for pickup. You can do this by installing a plugin on your WordPress site that will add a date and time picker on your checkout page.
Click on Add plugins. Search for Pi date and tiem picker.
Install and activate.
When it is activated, hover over WooCommerce and click on Date & Time.
Here, you can select the days of the week which you are open. You can also select the hours that you are open. In the free version, you can only select one set of hours that apply to each day. If you have different hours for each day of the week, then you have to upgrade to the pro verison.
Once you select your hours of operation and days of the week that you are open, you can go to your checkout page to see if the date and time options are correct.
If they are, you should do a test payment to make sure that the payment goes through and that the pickup date and time shows correctly for the customer afterwards.
Those are the two main places that you want to put your restaurant hours for your WooCommerce online ordering website.
